Album art no longer shows up in CarPlay

Hi guys,

Brand new member here. I actually just found out about this forum while searching for a solution to my problem.
I just had a Performance and Sound kit installed on my 2018 440i GC. When I got the car back, I had to reconnect Carplay since everything was reset. Now my album artwork doesn't show up in CarPlay anymore. Where the artwork usually shows up, I just get "Apple CarPlay iPhone" text. I tried re-pairing my iphone a few times, but I still have the issue.
Also, I think the dealer may have updated my iDrive software. I have TB-006.017.006 MB-006.017.006 installed. Would that cause the problem?
Any other ideas?

push right on the idrive controller and select current media - that will give the artwork again.
