Yeah, I'm assuming you did actually try to change the mode and you can check something other than "Drivetrain and Chassis"

Hey, did you notice any other changes in NBT or FEM? I was reading in another forum that if you changed to that specific build date in CIC and code KOMBI then the nav on the instrument cluster came up weird and out of proportion. So I'm wondering if i change NBT or FEM that MY14 will act up. I would also be temped to code KOMBI so i can have my time on the bottom right corner

As far as I know the only module that gets weird if you Vo code it to 2015 is the DSC, it will throw a TPM error.

AH! Defiantly VO coding KOMBI if there isn't any problem with the nav! Thanks!

I would really like to have sport or sport+ modes configured with comfort (light) steering. Heavy steering feels so artificial that I really wonder why I cant adjust that. It does not make any better road feel, just harder to turn the wheel..
Has anyone found any parameters related to steering values/stiffness? |

The one thing that isn't achievable is to have sport throttle only since they bundle throttle and transmission settings together under drivetrain. Personally i'm ok with that since i can't stand the sport throttle setting. But you should be able to achieve: -steering only (by sleecting chassis only) -tranmssion only (using gear lever) -Steering, trans and throttle (all) -Steering and trans (chassis only + gear lever to left) -trans and throttle only (drivetrain) Last edited by robg; 03-19-2015 at 09:56 AM.. |

I am very excited to discover this thread. Does anyone know if this also works on US 2014 F10s? I'd love to have the sport steering wihout the throttle and tranmission settings. My current workaround is put the traction control into DTC mode (which has the side effect of making the steering heavier too). Not the best idea from a safety standpoint and when my wife is in the car she gets upset about it.
And since i"ve never VO coded (only FDL coded before), I have a question: I gather that one of the things VO coding does is to automatically set individual parameters in the ECUs according to the options and build date. Of course, you could in theory do this manually with FDL coding. But is there more to it than that? In other words, if you did a "diff" of the CAFD files before and after changing the build date, and then manually FDL coded the relevant params, would it be the same? Or is changing the build date mandatory to get certain features to work (such as this). Also, I have FDL coded a few settings in HU_NBT. I assume these will all be wiped and reset to factory defaults after VO coding that ECU? |

- comfort steering - sport suspension - sport or comfort transmission mode - sport or comfort throttle response mode I had E90 M3 and in M-Drive settings you were able to tune all of these as you wish. F80 must have that same menu. I guess software is pretty much the same on F80 and F30.. it just could be possible somehow. Maybe even enable M-Drive menu? |

Ah very true. It is kind of silly that they don't offer a true individual setting mode on non-M cars. I believe Audi and Mercedes do. I drove an e90 M3 once and really liked being able to control all 4 parameters separately. |
