Means that they are pushing the power of a 55W bulb to a 35W bulb which causes it to overheat and burn the projector. These bulbs are true 55W setups and won't burn. Not saying there aren't others out there but I've been happy with these so far:

Has anyone been able to get a clean beam cutoff? I adjusted the bulb position to center the hot spot but this is the best I can get it l. The first picture is the left headlight. The second on is the right. Third picture is both headlights.

I contacted them and they said: Yes these should fit no problem, however they are intended for euro versions.
Should I be worried about "not intended for but should fit" ? Anyone ever installed those on US models? Thanks! |

Hello,
I current own a 2017 bmw 320i with stock halogen light and I want to replace it with retrofit Lci headlight. The retrofit headlight are for 2015 models, but aren’t all bmw headlight unit the same size? So, it should be able to fit fine. |

USR finally got the lights in stock, just ordered them. I went through a lot of pages in this thread, there's a lot of info lol... I don't know if someone with the info could just quick reply my question.
What the most common lightbulb used with these lights? Just bright halogens? Thanks |

I think it's worth it to upgrade to a HID kit. I installed DDM Tuning Ultra Canbus HID kit with 5500K bulbs. The output is definitely brighter halogens. Others have used The Retrofit Source H7: MORIMOTO ELITE kit. With either kits you'll have to use H7 bulb adapter. I had trouble with the bulb positioning. If you plan on going this route, install the HID bulb before your install the headlights.

I will receive my DEPO angel eyes tomorrow and I think I will go with the HID option for the bulbs. I did a lot of research and ended up with that:
HID Parts H7 HID Adapter : https://www.theretrofitsource.com/h7...ros-49083.html 10$ H7 Morimoto HID Bulb: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/hi...to-xb-hid.html 40$ H7 35W Canbus: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ba...anbus-35w.html 90$ Total: 150$ |

Noob here. First timer to BMW. - looking for cliff note version.
The DEPO headlamps is just the housing along with the "angel eyes". No bulbs correct? What bulbs? Can LED fit? Why on earth will this throw a code? I dont think i have been this confused upgrading headlights before. |

Some people place LED or hids of their own replacing the halogens that come with the depo units. This could throw an error code due to our cars having the can-bus bullshit in our cars. (Google can-bus for further explanation on that.) Hope that helps. -before upgrading to depo units, I had LED bulbs in my oem headlamps replacing the halogens and never got an error code. I bought specific leds that claimed it would not throw an error code, and they never did. Last edited by jlorenzo125; 09-27-2018 at 07:52 PM.. |

So.....if I want the halo ring/angel eye look I go with depo units (or equivalent) and then get good bulbs. If I just want to be able to drive at night I can just get good bulbs.
Can I ask what LED did you have? |
