Where do you buy your rotors/pads SoCal?
Looking to either do, or have the brakes done on my wife’s f30. Wanted to get input on where some of you get your parts aside from online. Not looking to go to the dealer and drop 1k+

Online is the best place to buy especially brands you want. But you can always go to Autozone, o'Reilly, Napa and etc. They are limited on what they carry. I'm sure they carry at least Brembo. Most of them you need to order from the store. They don't stock them
You can go EAS if you are near them... they are close to San Diego. I don't know other tuner if they carry and sell parts. |

There are a lot of garbage rotor brands out there. For the best quality at a fraction of dealer price I always recommend Zimmermann. Same quality as BMW rotors plus they are coated to resist rust.. Check online retailers to find the correct part number and price of Zimmermanns for your wife's car. I'd check X-PH, FCP Euro, ECS and Turner. Then call around locally with that part number. Don't trust locals to look up a BMW part number, especially with brakes because BMW can be confusing. Locals often get it wrong. There are a lot of cheap crap replacement pads. I don't mess with safety issues like brakes. The best replacement pad that I've found are Hawk 5.0's. They are superior in every way to stock pads. They have great bite, low dust, low noise, great pedal feel and they are reasonably priced compared to other high quality pads. They'll made her car safer because it will stop better than it ever has before. Check with that same list of online retailers for part numbers and prices of Hawk 5.0 pads. Hope this helps! |

I purchased Brembo rotors + pads, and pagid sensor from Rock Auto.
I do agree with sticking with better brands and making sure it's a quality rotor so it doesn't look rusted all the time.

I got my set from -CquenceBrakes which for me pricing and quality as well as being local you could not beat in regards to comparable companies.

What's the requirement for lease return - must it be OEM or a limited list of approved equivalents?
Cheers

I always get my parts from BMA in Burbank.....small mom and pop store that can get OEM as well as major brands like Jurid, Pagid, Akebono, Zimmerman(rotors).....excellent prices, and often same day or next day availability....
