New idrive navigation

Hi has anyone had any update about the new idrive navigation coming with 2013 F30 sedans. I have told that by BMW australia yes but cannot get this confirmed by my dealer. I have ordered a 328 with msport which will be a 2013.

Good to hear if anyone has any updates.

Thanks.

I have seen that thread before, I was advised by BMW that 2013 sedans will have this new idrive but I cannot get any confirmation from the dealer. Have you been told yes or no by your dealer.

Thanks

Who at BMW advised you of this fact?

Customer service, I then emailed them to confirm it and they gave it to me in writing.

I find the idea somewhat odd that customer service and the dealer network don't have access to the same information. As you're aware reports are suggesting only the ActiveHybrid 3 is getting the newer system.

So what's more important to you, the car or the computer?

Thats going to depend on your situations isnt it... cant comment on the OP's position, but for me, I'm not in a rush to replace my car, so if I have to wait an extra few months to get a significant upgrade on an interface that I will use every day, I would (and probably will!)

Fair point. Really depends on perception and as you wrote, you see the change as "significant".

Does anyone know if the BMW Assist functions (Google maps search, weather, traffic, etc) will work in Australia?

Basically, no - teleassist is as close as it gets.

Here in Australia we have the prvilege of paying twice what Americans do for the car, and dont get a lot of the iServices.

BMW Apps also doesnt work in Australia.
