I was able to get one from Lidl and did the oil change earlier. Fantastic little device.
As I'm doubling up on oil changes I'm not concerned about extracting every ml. When it's due an oil change as per manufacturer spec it'll be serviced by a garage for the service history so will be done via sump plug removal. Thank you OP for bringing this device to my attention. It made the job quick and easy. |

I didn't buy one from Lidl as I'm happy enough draining from the sump...
but is it a misprint on the box? It says it pumps 0.2l per minute of engine oil @ 60dgs C. Does it really take 20-30 minutes to pump all the oil out? Because the other types of oil it said pumped much quicker.

Yes i think it's a misprint. I think 2L per min is more accurate. |

My 328i doesnt have a dipstick ( or one that's easily accessible in any case). Probably ( in fact definately) a stupid q but has anyone tried feeding the tube in through the oil filler cap endoscopy style! ? And it's not really for full oil changes as i will be doing them ahead of schedule, I just like to freshen it up with a litre or 2 changed mid service. I have no intention of putting it up and doing a full change ( would just get a cheap one at kwikfit/ national) if was going to do that.

Yeah. Probably more hassle or risk than it's worth I guess. Wish theyd left the dipstick but never mind. I dont even go anywhere near half the allowed miles on a long life oil anyway so it's just ocd and ott on a normal car driven sedately with the occasional f1 traffic light blast
