Mperf tail lights vapor

Recently purchase a set of mperf tail lights from a renowned German website. Install it today and it was such a lovely sight. Fast forward a few hours later, I noticed that there is some vapor condensation inside the outer tail lights. Does anyone else have this issue?

Also I noticed that my inner tails light had a piece of white sticker covering what seems to be a hole underneath or an opening, wandering if it's a defect or a norm. Did anyone notice this white sticker when you installed it.

I have attached the pictures for your comments.

Condensation is a common challenge with aftermarket lights. I would be surprised if you had that issue with brand new OEM ones.

My Blackline lights did not have blank white labels all over them as yours do....and had legit BMW labels on them.

I'm quite sure these are original as I paid over €400 for them and it came in a BMW box. So I'm assuming none of you have this issue. I'll go back and seek clarification from the seller

I really hope they din sell me replicas coz the box is from BMW and its a BMW part no. Looks totally legit to me, notice tt the vapor production is at the same spot on both sides of the light so some consistency there.

The outside look legit

However, your pics of the rear with the plain white stickers look nothing like these in the Blackline thread

http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...&postcount=136

Also, did you change out the drip rail trim part numbers: 51497453333 & 51497453334 if your car is pre-lci?

That could be letting the moisture in.

Drip rails are useless IMO. I upgraded mine and it's not 100% sealed on the upper part, idk why bmw does this. I've noticed very light condensation, but I'm in Miami so humidity is basically always at 60%.

Also that thread you linked is showing the rear part of the tail lights with the connectors, not the upper portion with OPs stickers.

I bought mine from schmeidmann and they were OEM- I did have one sticker on the bottom covering a little hole, I don't really remember two of them...

I wouldn't worry about your condensation, it doesnt look bad at all. But definitely worry if it starts developing water droplets and shit thats when you know it's bad.

I'm totally puzzled by the white labels and the hole that it covers, I really find this abnormal. No I did not get them coz my friends has the same without the drip rail and he never had any condensation issues. But if u can see the condensation happens on the further end of the tail light. If water is seeping through like the condensation would happen in an area closer to the where the leak happens.

I agree it's not bad, where I come from humidity is even higher normally btwn 70-80%. But it's not an issue with the original taillights but those r in red so unlikely to be able to see it. The reason I know there is a hole because I was feeling the sticker and noticed that the back was hollow. Then I curiously peeled at it to expose the hole. Since it was a hole I added some double. Sided tape to seal it off better from water. When installed the sticker side is facing up against the top of the boot of the inner tail light.

the official response from the supplier is that some condensation is normal even for the original OEM lights. i have sent the lights to be smoked same time i requested for them to re-seal certain portions of the lights in hope of rectifying the issue. Upon closer inspection, i noted that the workmanship and finishing quality is somewhat low. Oh well its relatively cheaper than ori LCI taillights co cant complain much.

For what it's worth the F30 I believe did have a recall at some point for condensation in the tail lights.

Having your lights smoked will definitely make any condensation less noticeable.
