Key Fob Features

Discovered some new features on the Key Fob after meeting with UB today.

1. Holding the 'Lock' button for 3 seconds, folds the side mirrors and closes the windows & sunroof.

2. Holding the 'Unlock' Button for 3 seconds opens all the windows, sunroof & unfolds the side mirrors.

2 neat features I didn't realise the key-fob was capable of doing. Although holding the button for 3 seconds seems a little too long, coding could probably reduce the timing to 1 second.

Don't take this too harshly, but this is why reading manuals is a good idea

I guess I missed that section because I skimmed through the manual. Finding new surprises every now and then with features I didn't realise. Probably should read through the manual thoroughly.

I was in the same boat as you. My mate and I went to get a bite to eat, and after locking the car, he asks why i don't fold the mirrors in by holding the lock for 3 seconds. I had absolutely no idea. Also, coding can get it done by just pressing the lock once

Yeah, those key fob features have been around for many years. Had the same key fob actions for my E90 325i before I changed it to my F30, which still has the same features.

Only minor silly & annoying action is the sunroof not opening fully on first press. Have to hold the button down for a second time to fully open the roof. Same for the car's slider switch.

The windows open or close with the fob for me but not the wing mirrors...thats why I thought I would ask the question.

I always presumes electric folding mirrors were a premium add on..!
