Spoke to sandals who confirm delivery can be deferred to end of March. Very tempted subject to test drive.

Will ask for RIS FOC - does anyone know the service intervals - is it worth asking about the service pack?

Any options a given? Enchanced BT etc? And I gather i can get car play later on?

Anything else to be aware of?

Cheers

24 MPG will mean teens in reality that's genuinely going to be quite a fuel bill.

Also has to have CF trim I'd say £600 but that's personal maybe.

Extended storage is very useful on the X3 too and Steering wheel heating is annoyingly tied into a £900 package.

Driving Assistant Plus for once seems a bargain at £1080.

All ETTO own thoughts. Base car is perfectly fine!

The X3M includes DA as standard, which is why the upgrade to DA+ is "only" £1080

Also need to add sun pro glass!

I averaged 17.3 mpg on the OBC over my 80 mile test drive. That figure was probably approximately correct as the 20 litres of fuel I put in, put the fuel gauge back to where it started, or just a touch below.

I imagine I would get slightly more in 'normal' use - perhaps 18-19mpg. Not great, but bearable if the car had been the complete package.

Yeah spot on you can forgive cars if they are liveable and the complete package as you say..

Thx guys my trips are usually supermarket and nursery. I don’t commute that often especially with Hammersmith bridge closure. Usually cycle. Average about 5-6 k a year.

I get about 22mpg in the s5 so will see.

Any thoughts on EBT and other options . I think teaston is the man for these questions : ) I would miss Apple car play but if I code it should be fine

Oh I guess between year 3 and 4 no warranty. Is that a major concern?

Who knows it might be the m40i I go for after the test drive

I don't think it matters what mpg you get on that mileage, or on those journeys. Fuel isn't going to be a huge cost.

Seems a bit of a waste, if I didn't have the roads I have near me, and if I didn't want just a budget car, I'd go for luxury, not speed.

Each to their own though....

I would go for an IPace does everything the X3M does. Rides better cheap to run. No brainer on congestion charges etc. Even better if a company car

Just messaged the dealership see what happens! This forum is f-ing shocking and bad for the bank balance. Technically it's £20 a month cheaper then the current car.

Servicing is every 2 years or 18k whichever comes closer.

Service plan ONLY works if you run the car for 4 years.

I'm not going to bother. I'll pay for the RIS and in 2 years the first service.

RIS is stupid expensive. I've had quotes from £478 - £600

Can the Mrs create an X3M cake though? Alpine White would be nice for icing with liquorice roof rails?

Had a test drive at my local dealer today, handing my 440i back to BMW FS on Tuesday morning. Showed them the £549 / £549 deal stratstone are at and they basically said they would struggle to match it !

Test drive was awesome, looks fantastic in Donnington grey with Shakir orange leather!

Going back on Saturday morning with the missus to try and persuade her it's a good move and to persuade the dealer to give us a decent offer

That's the $64k question.... It's meant to be shocking.
I went to Sandal Wakefield yesterday hoping to be able to sort a test drive. Their showroom one was sold, waiting collection in the handover bay. Looked very good.
They've an X4M just being pre-registered, so am hopeful of getting hold of it for a full day as i daresay it will ride the same.

When I went on test drive was expecting the ride to be really bad and was pleasantly surprised its firm but not bone shaking like some have said no worse than my f80 was Maybe people expect this type of car to be a smooth wafting ride but if it was I don't think it would handle like it does its not an m3/m4 but it is one very impressive motor I need more space now and with this you can still have a bit of fun and enjoy a drive .
Buts that's just my opinion all I would say is go and test drive it I'm sure most will be impressed.

Good info thanks, I am just wondering how it’s possible to run for less than the 48 month term if the VT point never arrives? I think the GFMV is set high too so no equity? I am worried about lack of warranty in final year.
