Rhd to Lhd how to do it?

Hello everbody I am going to work in liverpool from september until december and I am thinking in buy a car (very cheap in uk) and change everything from Rhd to Lhd when I come back to spain. What do you think? there are too many thinks to change? I has been looking in real oem and the steering column is the same. For the moment I have checked that I need to change the dashboard the dashboard chasis, electrical steering, front door panels, center console, front floor covering, and my concern is if I will have space for the steering column in the left side.

That does appear a lot of work, will you really save costs?

Don’t forget you have things like wiring looms, brake lines, door mirrors, wiper sweep, to consider as well.

What of value further down the line? Conversions usually dramatically devalue a used car.

Yeah, I'm quite sure that this conversion, if it is done with proper quality, will cost a significant amount of money, both for labor and parts.
If it is legal to register and drive RHD car in Spain, I'd recommend to leave it in factory condition. I have some friends who drive JDM imports, they say that it didn't took long to get used to right hand drive.

That’s crazy.

Buy a LHD car in another EU Country if Spain is so expensive.

It will be cheaper buying in Spain than buying in U.K. and converting to LHD.

It sounds too much work for me to even consider doing it. And you can drive RHly in LHD roads.

There are companies which perform this retrofit - at a price. Perhaps it's best to get a quote first ...

You are thinking EU to USA retrofits.

Not even close to the same thing as RHD to LHD Conversion.

Wow. I'm too lazy and cheap to bother to get my car coded. Good luck to you, OP.

Sounds really cheap and really easy.

Don't forget to move the pedals too, you didn't mention them, and it would suck to have to stretch that far.

Go for it, good luck

I suspect it's cheaper in Germany.
