Sirius Satellite Radio

Hey guys,

As we all know Sirius now ONLY comes with the comfort/convenience package. Unfortunately I don't have that package. Is there any way I can get it installed into my NAVI? I really don't want to use it through bluetooth with my phone.

What year is your car? It's probably there but needs an FSC code and activation.

Go here and enter the last 7 digits of your VIN.

If you have SA693 you should be able to get sirius activated either locally or remotely for about $250 which would include one year of service.

Strange. That usually only happens for a car which is still on the production line. There are a couple of sites that do the same thing but I imagine they all access the same data base. No typos?

Your car has option 693 SATELLITE TUNER PREPARATION, so the hardware (Tuner, Wiring, and Aerial) is there.

You just need a 6F FSC Code Issued by BMW AG for your VIN Imported and Activated in Head Unit and Coding, which is to replace 693 SATELLITE TUNER PREPARATION with 655_SATELLITE_TUNER in FA, and VO Code Head Unit.

The FSC Code you order from your Dealer and the coding you can do yourself or have a local coder, or even remote coder do it for you.

Or you could just have Bimmer Retrofit do it all for you.

Sal, glad to hear the hardware is there. I had a guy in Brooklyn do some coding for me. He can do the Sirius activation. Text Steven at (917) 939-4980 or contact him at ccnoner@aol.com

Let Bimmer Retrofit do it all for you. FSC + Activation is only $185. Don't get their expensive cable though, get $20 cable from eBay or somewhere else. It seems others are charging way more than this.
