Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a 2008 X3, with navigation, DVD in the rear. I would like to update, since I have no navigation at all right now. How do i find instructions on how to operate the system, and to even tell which one it is? There is no information in the manuals which came with the car, and the window sticker just says navigation - $1800.00. The radio is just as bad - no information on it either. You seem to be the best at helping with navigation questions, and I appreciate your advice and time.

You should have CCC Navigation System, and need Road Map North America PROFESSIONAL. PM sent.

Map Update won't affect the GUI. Unfortunately BMW never posts a Change Log or Release Notes for any new map release, so one is always left wondering what specifically was added. We just know that with each new release, new streets, additional POI's, and additional 3D Maps are added, and improvements to the routing algorithm are made.

I think I have NBT because when I go to the version of the navigation system it says NBT_D12****, and it says EUROPE Next 2013, so can you please PM me whatever I need to do to upgrade my europe next maps to the latest 2016 version? Hi Shawn, I've got a 2013 328i xDrive w/CIC nav unit. Never generated FSC or updated maps - could you send info please?

Bit of a long shot but can anyone answer a query re a BMW330e (iperformance). I have mine on order and I'm aware that as a hybrid if you put in the address you want to go to it will work out and automatically adjust the drive mode from electric to engine to gain maximum mpg. What I want to know is can you select an alternative route so it doesn't go on the motorway and therefore uses more electric?? Thanks all.
