Hi Shawn,
Can I also get Tool32? I am getting a Passenger Restraint System error because I turned on the ignition with one of the airbags disconnected while adding a backup camera.
Thanks,
Trey

It's single stage, so you will have to do some coding.

Yup, no coding. Just make sure you disconnect the battery and do not reconnect until new airbag is installed, otherwise you will get the airbag default error.

theres a problem. the guy from the UK sent me a dual stage airbag i checked it its definitely a dual stage, my friend at BMW put it in for me everything connected fine but my airbad light came on as soon as i started the car and wont go away. i noticed my stock steering wqheel airbag connector has more wires going into the plug with a tiny white plug attached to it. know of this? do i need to get it coded?

i literally just got my steering wheel from that ebay seller today. the wheel looks bran spanking new. make sure you ask him to put in a dual stage airbag because bags from those countries are single stage. he put a dual stage for me they had some around.

Hmm... My stock steering and airbag had the exact same wiring as the M Sport. Are you sure your friend kept the battery disconnected during the entire process?

Just clear the code using Tool32, if there is an actual issue the light will come back on.

I'm sure you'll find it won't though.

If you need Tool32 send shawnsheridan a PM and he'll sort you.

No it won't clear the light. Just get Tool32 FFS, it will take 5 minutes to sort and you can get on with enjoying your car.

BTW, you will also need an OBD to Ethernet cable.
