400M setup

Looking to source a set of 400M rims for my 320i with 17” rims right now. Seems like all the setups are staggered 18x8 18x8.5. Can I run a square tire setup on this, If I cannot can I run 225 front and 235 or 245 rears with no issues given i have an X drive car?

Im going to piggyback on this and ask if I can run the staggered 18's with winter tires on an xdrive 440?

You can run a square setup, you just need the overall tire diameter to be the same for x-drive

Same as above, yes you can run staggered, overall tire diameter just needs to be the same

Just a little history, 400M wheels came in 18x8 square with all season tires(like mine) or staggered, like you stated, with summer tires. So you will find square sets for sale.

Just an FYI , there is a square setup on FB marketplace near Buffalo NY...(not mine, but I noticed them the other day)
