Maybe it is the same HW that was introduced in the automatic transmission in 2014+ models that keeps things cool during eco pro coasting. Coding coasting on 2013 and prior models results in transmission overheat.

Hey guys I'm new to this coding thing. I just bought a 335i 2015 automatic but it's the luxury line so I don't have the sport + so can some help how I would code it starting with what I will need to do it? Like equipment and does this mess with my warranty? Thank you

Do it. I did it and I am glad. It's super simple. Like others said remove 205, add 2TB and then VO code the three options people said earlier.

Car feels totally different and a blast to drive. Thanks OP

I just did it by changing the FDL
EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter_alt -> aktiv
EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter -> aktiv

I did not add the 2TB like others did because I don't care about having Sports +.
You guys are right, this was totally a great thing to add. I can't believe how smooth the gear shift is now when cruising. Should have been the default programming from factory to begin with. :\

To be honest, I'm not certain. Only way to find out is to code it. If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work and you're not hurting anything.

BTW, launch control is way overrated so you're not missing out on anything.

Its the lead in your foot. I noticed the car is more eager to reach high speed, and that means I'm cruising much sooner. But that eagerness to rev, is probably making you more foot heavy then usual.

I tried this on my 2012 Sport Line Auto
EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter_alt -> aktiv
EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter -> aktiv
EGS/3000 Applikation -> LC -> aktiv

While it definitely is more aggressive in Sport mode, I'm not a fan while city driving. Comfort mode becomes too spastic on the low end. I coded it back to default for now. I prefer the smooth shift of the regular auto.

I wish I could retain the feature of the display showing what gear you're in when the lever is in the left position.

Try setting just Sportschalter_alt to aktiv. That should enable just the gear display in DS mode.

In my opinion code 2tb in 3 modules as indicated in cheat sheet is not enough. I have made it without any error and sport+ modus appear...i code also sport display that must be coded separately in with fdl.

The point is this one: since i have 2 car one with 2tb from factory and the other one no, the speed of transmission is different in sport/sport+ in the car with 2tb from factory you can feel like a "cut off" that generate a nice feeling when next gear is coming...in the one coded this dont happen. Is it possible that also dsc and engine ecu (dme/dde)are involved in 2tb??

How to test if I have the sport auto?

I don't have the paddle shifters and when I put the gear selector to the left it shows s1,s2,s3.... depends on which gear I'm in

Shift manually above 4000 rpm at full throttle. If you get a nice "bump" on an upshift, you have SAT.

That should be enough. In fact, even coding EGS by itself is enough if your car already had Sport+.

Which model are you trying to code this on? Not all models can be coded for SAT.

I have coded a 2015 f20 116d that is a 2000cc diesel. In my car there is the nice "bump" in sport+ (in my opinion is a fast cut off of throttle that simulate the violence of the shifting). All the other function are working, sport+ appear and works properly..
