BMW Remote & Connected Apps in Canada HELP

Just took delivery on my car yesterday and trying to figure out if I've downloaded the correct apps for Remote & Connected here in Canada... I've attached pics of both - can someone please confirm? Also I'm trying to login to the Remote app with the same credentials as on the BMW Connected website however it's saying "No vehicle available"? On the Connected app there's no login option... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

They both do work. The one on the left is for connecting remotely to your car (for stuff like sending an address or flashing the headlights), another one is for additional apps in the car (though I'm not sure if it works with 2018 vehicles).

We did discover an issue in the backend on some MY18 vehicles not being able to map to the remote app. We have identified the issue and are working on a fix with BMW AG. If you want to send me your VIN, I can verify if your VIN is impacted and see if we can implement a fix ahead of the scheduled fix.

Also to confirm the apps that you posted above are correct for Canada for the time being. New Connected App will be coming to Canada toward the end of this year.

Hello all

There was an issue where certain MY18 vehicles were missing data from the backend systems. This resulted in issues with the functionality in the BMW Remote app. The good news is we are going to be deploying a fix for all affected vehicles by end of next week.

Appreciate everyone's patience and for raising the issue. We were able to jump on this early and identify the cause and schedule a fix.

It was helpful to see that message that the Google map send to car feature is recognized as not working, I have communicated with BMW Canada Customer Service for several months and it took a number of contacts to find out that there "might" be an issue.

However - I was still able to send a destination to the car from the map section of the "BMW Remote" App.
As of last week that no longer works either - just get a message that the service to the car failed.
Also - now the "option" that lets you to identify your user ID and sign in (with the Auto-Log in) feature checked no longer works either.
Just says unauthorized or log in failed.

Sure wish BMW would put out some info to their customers to tell them what the heck is going on. We pay for a service that keeps having glitches - and no one at BMW keeps anyone informed - even the guys at my local service are completely frustrated.

If others are experiencing the same as I am I can only suggest you also contact BMW Can customer services and let them know your situation.

Interesting.

Two weeks ago, I was able to send directions to my car via the remote app just fine. Stopped working this past week.

Checked my connected drive account and seems my ConnectedDrive Services (6AK) expired last August, but my Remote Services (6AP) are still active.

In other thread, i was told that you need ConnectedDrive Services (6AK) for send to car via the remote app to work. But that doesn’t explain why it was working up until a few weeks ago, nor does it explain why I am able to use the other features of the app (horn, lights, locking).

Confused.

I have now lost all ability to log in thanks to my dealer. But my google send to car feature stopped working recently. Will they fix this or has it already been fixed? I can't even log in anymore to tell.
