These are full replacement CF mirror covers on your F30. I removed existing painted mirror covers and installed these on both sides in 15 minutes. No need to remove mirror lens and nothing to screw or tape on. The manufacturer moulded clips same as OEM attached to the back of the cover that snaps into place on existing slots in the side mirror assembly frame.

Paid USD130 for the pair plus USD27.00 delivery charges to Australia.

Go with tetmotorsports like the one JNLBC posted on his car, I have those on mine for about 6 months now and it still looks perfect to me.

PS watch out for the cheap wetlay carbon products, they are no comparison to pre preg carbon handling the heat, after few summer days.......

I purchased them from RW Carbon, they were reasonably priced at $185 and designed to be OEM replacements that fit into the slots and catches for the original mirrors.

I ordered them November 24 and they were delivered on the 29th (five days with the holiday in there to boot and shipped all the way across the country).

Here they are installed:

Passenger Side

Driver Side

Full Car

The fitment was excellent and they look great. I did have some questions about installation and they were promptly answered by RW Carbon via email. Overall I would recommend them.

I watched the shop do it on mine, they used a trim puller (plastic spatula) to pop the mirror off the front then delicately popped the fasteners out from that side, then gently pushed the new cover into that place making sure it was all aligned as it when into place.

For those that bought from rwcarbon, these just slip onto the clips similar to OEM? They are not screwed on like the OEM cf mirrors?

Just installed mine today.
I bought them on Ebay for $107 with free delivery (in the world) - No customs tax since it is sent as "gift" for a price of $18 (love these chinese guys).
Delivery time: 2 weeks
Installation time: First side mirror 15 min (I tried to understand how to remove the stock caps properly). Second side mirror 2 min.

Pros:
  • Quality is very good - real carbon fiber and is advertised like this
  • Same exact clips as the original ones at the same exact positions (that one of the main reason why I chose this product)
Cons:
  • Fit almost to perfection but the outter side is a bit high and could have fit better.
  • The caps are thicker than the stock ones. So after installation you can notice it is bigger and they are poping out more than the stock ones.

Bottom line:
I recommend this product like 4/5 stars
The quality is here and fitting is good. Not perfect, but still good. I will very likely get used to it and won't notice it anymore.
I haven't find a better price for carbon fiber side mirror caps until now.

You can go for it!

Thanks for posting this, i've ordered the same ones so i'm glad they're decent quality!

I just hope they won't discolour after a lot of exposure to sunlight.

Also great to here they put the value as $18!

These are cool because the OEM ones require removal of the mirror and break tabs. These just slip right back on.

I read elsewhere that they're still easier to fit if you remove the glass? The glass just pops off i believe.

Not sure why removing the glass would make it easier unless doing so makes it easier to remove the cover in the first place.

Yes so you can squeeze the clips together to get them out easier. Or does the mirror cap pop off easy enough just using a plastic pry tool?
