I thought the APK was "decompressed" after instalation, now I see it works on the fly and loads into memory each time it is run, so my ideia was totaly wrong.

About the 4 byte alignment, as I am using the APK Editor studio, I think it is already made.

Let's see what happens with the new APK (I only changed some images and the strings.xml file with some corrections on the translation).

You could install either haystack or Tingle.

However, my Patched Eventcenter.apk is only for Android 7.1. I have not patched an Android 8+ version as I don't have a PX6 unit to test the patches.
I would advise against it at this moment.

it was not required on my 8.1 machine to do signature spoofing,the only additional thing i did was disabling verity (adb disable-verity)

I have patched the eventcenter.apk from my device with your patches. But i can't install the patched apk.
I have done "disabled signature verification" but need "enabled signature spoofing" also.

Interested in one of these screens either from Avin or China directly. Reading various posts about sound quality. I have a m240i idrive 4 (must be the only 240 with a id4!) with the HK audio upgrade. With this setup will I have issues with sound loss? Plan to use it for the nicer screen, Waze from the play store and maybe amazon music. Also if it can run the bm3 gauges that’s a huge bonus

So, I packaged a new Launcher3.apk, rooted the HU, copied the new apk to the OEM directory and renamed the previous as Launcher3a.apk, but

1) The Icon of the Launcher3.apk became a bit strange ... in the download directory were I put it, it had the "correct" icon.
2) Even with this situation I rebooted the device and everything was as before! No errors, no changes on the aspect of the vehicle image, nothing!

Any clue from our Android specialists?

For several days I have not taken a GPS signal and before I did it the first time, what can it be due to? the connection of the antenna is checked and before updating mcu and Android it worked well ... very close to when it takes 1 satellite or 2 ... but nothing else.

Can't you go back to the previous version of Android and MCU and check if it has anything to do with that?

Maybe it was a little bit misunderstanding, no you cant install a modified apk, you need to replace the apk of the already installed App, IT seems that there is no Signatur check after the Installation anymore

Is the weather worse? We have had a lot of clouds and lightning in the Netherlands, and my signal gets worse then as well. You'll have to move the GPS antenna around in the car while looking at the GPS test app to determine the best location. Probably somewhere in a corner of the windscreen near a pillar. Best would be an outside GPS antenna on the roof.

Hello, have you find some more infos about this issue? I'm having the very same problem with an Andream 2GB Android 7.1 headunit. As far as I discovered, the issue is heat related and almost every demanding app (Waze, YouTube etc.) will crash it really quick.

I've been in touch with the seller and he gave me a firmware update which made the situation even worse.
