Stupid question about upgrading F30 stock wheels

This question has probably been asked a million times, apologies in advance this is my first wheel swap.

I have a '15 328i with stock 17" 393 wheels (square, 225/50R17). I'd like to upgrade to a square set of 18" 400M wheels. Is it simple plug and play? Do I need any spacers or anything extra?

If I choose to go the staggered route (225/45ZR18 / 255/40ZR18) will I encounter any issues?
