MPE 330i exhaust flaps?

Just installed the MPE on my 330i, there was nowhere to plug the cable for the exhaust flaps and the kit came with a dead plug for the cable as pictured below item 4. The installer plugged this and cable tied it up but am concerned any flaps in the exhaust may now be permanently shut and the exhaust will be quieter than it should be.

I'm assuming the flaps were deleted on the B48 MPE as opposed to the N20? Not much info around given the engine is still relatively new.

Any info would be much appreciated.

The M performance exhaust on the 328/330 makes quite a difference in the way the car sounds. Especially in sport mode, combined with an intake. The burbles you get in between high rpm gear shifts is the best part.

Performance wise theres no difference.

Both 330i/430i LCI and 340i/440i LCI variants don't have exhaust valves for the MPE.

Only the MPPSK has exhaust valves to make it a straight pipe in Sport mode.

I didn't know the 4 could cylinder could sound burbly. The 340i sounds awesome and I would love to improve the sound of my 330i.

@Cammy5 has a really good sound clip. Not sure if he's interested in posting it but my car sounds the same.

Totally recommend it after having on for a couple of weeks now. It crackles and pops on the overrun and makes a really nice sound on upshifts with heavy acceleration especially between 1 - 2 -3. Absolutely no drone when cruising and as quiet as the standard exhaust under normal acceleration.
