So, what do you do when you really like the look of Option 2NH (the ///M blue brakes) on the M Sport but can't get them because you (and your car) live in America? Well, you pay some money to a man (or potentially woman) at your local dealer's body shop and get them painted to match those on the M5. Enjoy!

Those brakes look good. Did they take the calipers off completely and spray them? Mind sharing how much this mod cost?

Looks really good! I think the M logo or just a "BMW" would make them look a little more finished, but this definitely looks a lot better than the raw metal look

Thanks to all of the kind words, gents! The full story was that, as I'm planning on keeping this car for some time, I took the car in for a 10k oil change and decided on making the car look more finished. To that end I spoke with my service advisor at Schaeffer BMW in Wilmington, NC about getting the brakes painted. He then introduced me to the paint shop foreman, and we discussed options. I could pay about 190 for him to paint the calipers on the car (which I went with) or 700 to remove them, paint them, and re-install them. The real-world difference? The back sides of the calipers are unfinished, and they had to paint the outside of the pad on the rear calipers. So, basically, for less than a third the cost you get the clean, finished look you want. The upside of painting them at the dealer body shop is the availability of ALL the factory colors, so if you want EBII, Sakhir Orange, Melbourne red, etc. you can get it!

Definitely need the M logo.. they sell Brake Caliper adhesive logo's that will hold up to the brake heat...

As so many of you have complimented me on them, I'll expand on the stripes a bit. They come as the grill stripe set from Bimmian.com. I thought about putting them on the grill, but wanted to pay a bit of homage to the Motorsport liveried E30 M3's, so on to the hood they went. Also, I wanted a bit of color on the exterior, as it's MG with all of the trim blacked out. I think the stripes are working quite well indeed!
