Will 18x9.0 ET29 and 18x10 et 40 fit on f30?
I'm looking at summer wheels that have the following spec:
Front: 18x9.0 ET29 Rear 18x10.0 ET40 I'm looking to wrap them with front 245/45/18 and rear 275/40/18. Would 235/45/18, 265/40/18 be better? I have a RWD 2018 340i with stock msport suspension. Want to know if this fitment is too aggressive, I don't want to play around with fender roll or camber or anything. Thanks fellas |

the outer shoulder of a 245/45/18(26.7"dia.) @ ET29 will rub the fenderwell liner when turning at or near full lock.
235/45/18(26.3")+265/40/18(26.3") or 255/40/18(26")+285/35/18(25.9"), this will have slight poke will fit on ET29+ET40 with no issues |

i have yet to see 235/45/18+265/40/18 on 513M, therefore no pics. however i know it will fit without issue
the link below has 255/40/18+285/35/18 on ET30+ET40 on a lowered F32. your rear fitment would be the same but front would poke 1mm more than this https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...07&postcount=2 . |

I’ll post a photo if/when I snag them. if anyone decides to go a similar route I’ll be the guinea pig haha. Kind of related, but I don’t have the Mperf brakes, mine are just the standard brake kit. In your opinion would it look a little off since the calipers won’t be painted and rotors aren’t anything fancy? Given that the 513M is a pretty open design. I haven’t yet found a photo of an F30 running 513M with the stock brake setup. |

you can do a spray on caliper paint but it'll require you to mask off the whole car from overspray. there is also brush on caliper paint which flows glossy and looks pretty damn good. just takes a bit of time while masking or painting carefully near areas you do not want painted. i may try this brush on method myself. here is a vid(of many on youtube) of brush on . |

Wow. This looks so clean. I was thinking about going aftermarket wheels, but I'm thinking I want to do OEM+. 513M is such a beautiful wheel and is probably my favorite OEM wheel next to 763M.
Are you still running them? Since you're xdrive im assuming they are a squared set? Also, How much did the brake upgrade cost? Was it worth it? Did you buy the set used? I apologize for for all the questions lol |

i ended up doing the m performance bbk, a couple years ago BMW discontinued the orange BBK and replaced it with a new part number, all remaining stock was sold for a steep discount, so I snagged the kit for about $1,000 new from my BMW parts dealer. just had to get rear rotors which were about $200 if my memory serves me right. the kit doesnt come with rear rotors but comes with everything else. unfortunately that deal came and went, you will probably look at spending closer to $2000 to run the same set-up these days. there's probably more pictures and details in my build thread, you can find it here: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1878022

How much did the 513M’s run you? I found a used set for $1800 without tires and a bit of curb rash on one wheel. Thinking that’s a bit high? |

thanks man... i've always advised the RWD guys to get a used set from F80 classifieds, or even our own classifieds. The only reason I bought new is because its harder to find a square set, I spent about $2300 for just the wheels, another 800 for tires. You can easily find a staggered set with tires for about $2000-2300, and that's for mint condition wheels... obviously with curb rash and other damage they'll be sub $2k. I wouldn't say 1800 is a bad deal necessarily, it's just you get a lot more for your money when you buy a used set that comes with tires. Ultimately it's up to you, but I'm sure you know new tires, especially for the rear wheels, can be quite expensive to buy new.

others would have to comment on fitting tires in rear, hard for me to say with both being xdrive and also only ever researching 1 set of wheels for my car. my knowledge about what is and isn't possible for RWD F30s is nonexistent.

245/40/18(25.7")+275/35/18(25.6") will fit the rear, however i didn't suggest it because at m-sport suspension height, the gaps will increase due to decrease in tire diameter/sidewall height. here is what what 245/40+275/35 looks like on a lowered F30
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1445526 just a thought...i understand the concept of desiring OEM/OEM+, however in your case i'd consider Apex VS-5RS as it is very similar in appearance, lighter than 513M by a couple lbs, fit BMW centercaps and comes in four different colors. 18x9 ET30, 18x10 ET40 is virtually identical specs with just 1mm less poke up front, which is a good thing... |
