Rear shelf falls every time trunk is opened

I have problem with these rubber clips that hold the rear shelf up. Every time i open the trunk they fall right off and the shelf is left hanging there while i have to try to find them from the trunk or in worst case outside the car. Tried buying new ones from ebay and taping them, no luck. Anyone know how to fix this? Next im gonna use glue and have them there permanently.

It took me all of a minute to find the replacement part number at http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...-F34-BMW-328iX https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_9152and another thirty seconds to find numerous places to buy them. For instance: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...p/51497396721/
Any dealer can order them. You should have realoem bookmarked.

I think you understood me wrong. I already bought new adapter clips because i thought the old ones have become loose. Replacing them didint help at all.

That being the case I can't imagine what the problem is. My shelf has never fallen, and when I do want to remove it I have to give it a good yank to release the clips.

It's hard to see on your photo, but it looks as if you've installed them incorrectly. They need to be pushed through the hole from the other side.

They use this design in other places too. If you see any sort of piece like that, just make sure to remember to push all the way through. Even under the hood I believe theres a piece like that.

One of these popped out my grip tonight, must have bounced +7m (on tarmac, damp autumn leaves underfoot) I spent 10 minutes treading carefully, shining torch underneath car / everywhere, then spent another 30 minutes patiently dividing leaves (over a very wide radius) into small manageable clumps then methodically raked said clumps with my main beam headlights assisting me. nada. I was 100% sure my patience would be rewarded. It wasn't.
Having run a quick test, seems the rear parcel shelf needs to be very tightly clipped in place, as otherwise (even with a temporary solution that appears totally flush) it touches something on the way down & prevents the boot from closing. Irksome.
In case the BMW part # is handy on the bottom post here, it's 51497396721.
