URO Parts ZF 8HP Transmission Pan/Filter
Hey Guys/Gals,
I flashed my 435i to BM3 93 octane Stage 2 along with their ZF 8 speed tune. My car has 70k on it and has never had a transmission fluid change. I decided to go with the URO parts transmission pan that has a replaceable filter. Overall very pleased with the quality and ease of installation. Here is a short vid I made: |

Sorry to revive the post, but do you still own the car? How is it holding up? I came across this URO pan today and I'm a bit skeptical, still looks like a great deal since a absolutely can't find any OE pan where I live.

URO really is a hit-n-miss. I've gone through several brands and URO usually lands on the lower price end of choices. And on BMW's I've better luck , but on MINI's URO parts fail very quickly, frictional pulley, water pump, cracked coolant bridge pipe, etc. All are failing upon just a few months. I've soon learned to stick with better brands such as Febi, Elring, Rein. Anyway, good to go with OEM option, happy motoring.

My indy initially declined to install the URO tie rod assemblies that I had purchased for my E30 M3. And before you get on me, I asked about whether to have him purchase parts or I should do it. He was ok with it, but I probably should have checked with him on part quality. I tried to get as much Meyle HD as I could (which he was still a bit skeptical of using).

Seems like a decent pan to me
URO pan installed for three years with about 20K miles.
The last time I was under the car (last night) pan looked the same as the day it was installed. This is my only URO-branded product. So for the brand as a whole, I don't have a comment. The pan, however felt like a quality product. I don't care about the changeable filter feature. Due to the low cost, I plan to replace the pan and filter next time. The installation went without issue. Not sure where any hate would come from on this part. It's a pan. If it fits the dimensions and comes with a decent filter media, then it works. Looks a little cool, too when I am under the car. Which is often, however, not for transmission issues.
