Make a dash cam all black
I've just fitted a Nextbase 522GW. Along the side in silver/ white writing it says 522GW which I would like to cover / make black so it isn't as conspicuous. I don't think a permanent marker will be enough, any suggestions?

Was thinking the same thing only a couple of weeks ago. The only option i can see other than using black tape is Plasidip which is a spray rubber.

Used a sharpie on my Black Vue for the same purpose.
Still on the camera after nearly 5 years. Unless you’re going to regularly handle it or clean it shouldn’t come off soon. Even if it does not onerous to redo.

Must be a tape that you can use. Black duct tape from Walmart or Home Depot and use sharp scissors to cut it to size. Or maybe they have vinyl tape that's thinner. Michael's or other craft store. With patience should look good, like a car wrap.

Would worry about heat build up or the tape falling off.

I've used this on a dashcam and it goes on really well.Has a small brush attached to the lid.Takes about 24 hours to dry properly, but leaves a great finish.

Black BBQ paint or black nail varnish.
Both should stand up to the heat of a dash cam, the BBQ paint is good for 600'c, and if it's getting that hot you have bigger things to worry about

If I remember it’s only on when you’ve got WiFi on. Usually it’s off I believe. Personally I like a couple of lights on when it’s working , more to act as a deterrent to would be crash for cash vermin.
