I'm familiar with the GMT, but how does the batman edition look? Going on the red/blue being known as pepsi, I am guessing black with yellow numerals etc?

Do tag hold their money well mate I really like the designs but when I've looked most of them seem to depreciate quite a lot

Currently have a Rolex Datejust, steel/white gold bezel, bought it with a tax refund in 2003.
Will pick up a 'Bruiser' at some point, as think they are lovely.
Actually turned down the option to buy one as needed the funds for a house purchase.

Wear a Tissot T-Touch (orange strap) for garden/holiday duties.

Edit: M40CCA - you wear them on the wrong wrist

Love it.

Have to say I don't get spending loads on watches.. I do understand why people do though, I worked with a guy who had about 15 and could never get it.. but I guess its like cars or anything branded.

I have a Tissot T touch racing touch which I really like, have had a few Tissots and I think they are quite understated and generally look more expensive than they are - think mine was only about £500.

Cant ever see myself spending more than £1000 on a really nice watch

Tissots are very good watches for the money I think. Great quality without the big brand premium.

I think watches are a lot like cars in terms of there being people that are willing to spend relatively large sums on them (compared to the average cost).

I know a lot of people who could easily afford a £25k car or a £5k watch, but the idea of spending that much is complete anathema to them when the 'same' car at 6 years old can be picked up for £6k and a £50 watch tells the time. Each to their own :-)

The only real investment watches are Rolex. I gave two grand for my GMT ten years ago. I've had offers of five for it. With Rolex, wait until they stop making it, then watch the value climb.
My daily wear is a Garmin Forerunner.

I have a TAG Monaco also (and a few more) and my recent insurance valuation was £1200 more than I paid for it in 2010. Happy with that!

Breitlind Colt.

Last service cost approximately the same as my 5 year service plan for the car. Love it though.

I bought an Apple watch for golf and find myself using it more than I expected, it's handy for work.

I've been thinking of buying a Tissot Touch Expert and very nearly did a couple of weeks ago until I noticed that the same watch with a different strap was almost £200 cheaper! Couldn't justify what ended up being a very expensive strap. Lovely watch though IMO.
I'll keep my titanium Seiko for a while yet.

Omega sea master.

Had it for 10 years. I'm definitely a "one watch" person. I know if I bought another I'd stop wearing the other but as my wife bought it for me kind of feel bad at prospect of replacing it. Quite fancy a new one but existing one works fine. So meh same old same old for me.

None! I've never liked wearing jewellery of any kind. Only thing I wear is my wedding ring, and that's only because the strife would wonder whats up if I wasn't wearing it.

I got around this by insisting on never having a wedding ring in the first place.

Limited edition Christopher Ward - no 127 out of 250 apparently. Couldnt tell you name / model off top of my head although no doubt it is on the paperwork!

Bought because I liked it, assume watches are as bad an investment as cars and anything better is a bonus!
