Question How much can I expect old 2018s to be discounted?

I'm looking for a 2018 340i and hoping to get a good deal from old inventory. Do you guys have any experience with how much of a discount I can potentially get from last year's model? I am seeing a few 340i's with MSRP of 54-56k listed for 10-12k off. I assume the 2018's will see bigger discount once more and more G20s roll onto dealer lots.

Depends on where and how popular the dealership is in the area. Assuming inventory has been managed efficiently and effectively, dealers should not have a significant surplus of 3er's left. Contrary to what people say, assuming the above is true with regards to inventory, dealerships don't necessarily give huge discounts just because a new generation is out. They will hold on to old stock for those clients who are more price sensitive when they see a higher but normal payment on the new model.

With that said, you should expect the same discount you would normally and a bit more but don't expect the moon across the board just because it's old stock. Not all buyers frequent forums and are car enthusiasts where they are up to date. The average consumer just wants to be in a BMW with the lowest monthly payment possible. You should still be aggressive but don't be disappointed if the dealership doesn't budge.

I would assume for price sensitive folks that the base G20 330i would be cheaper than a 2018 340i. The G20s have gotten very good reviews recently and I would think that gives more reason for any new buyer to go with the G20 over the F30 unless they are hard set on the F30 like I am. I just hope that new 340i's will be discounted even more heavily than some are now in the next few months.

My local dealer is selling a $62,000 msrp listen 18' 340i with all the boxes checked off at $52,000. I was told the lease on that would be around $500 with $5,000 due to signing.

Do you have a link? Are they still doing lease deals on 2018s? I read that it ended end of Feb.

Sorry for the late response, but I cannot find that car anymore on the dealer site. I assume it was sold.

I got mine CAD $ 11k off last Dec. 28 (less $8k for options & less $3k delivery credit from BMW, .9APR). Not 340 though, mine is 2018 330i xdrive M sport Edition 2.

What sort of residual is there on the care with those terms and what is the lease term period? Those numbers you mention dont tell the whole story.

This deal was amazing.

Tried to get a few dealers around here to match that discount and they all blew me off.

about 9-10% discount before incentives and the DAS I'm assuming includes a cap reduction. Pretty average.

I’m closing a deal on Saturday on a New 2018 340i xdrive M-Sport (MSRP: $56,320). I got it down to 13.2% off MSRP before incentives. For 24/12k miles per, my monthly will be $370 with $2272 due at signing + MSDs.

I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. BMW dealerships here are clearing out 2018 340i's for around $15k off + 0.99% leasing/financing.

I closed a 2018 340i this weekend with a lease rate of 0.9% and a discount of $8500. Thought it was pretty reasonable.

That's a pretty good rate. I'm not sure if that's possible in US.

What was the MSRP on the car? Dealers nearby me aren't budging much on the prices. They're doing something like 5k off a 58-60k sticker.

Late to this, but mid February I leased one of two remaining 2018 330i xDrives on my dealer's lot for approx 17% off MSRP before incentives.

They didn't budge at all on MSRP? All they gave was BMW credits? Interesting to see how various dealerships (Canada/United States) are handling old 3er's now with the G20 out.

They still have a few on the lot and our G20's haven't landed yet. I did manage to get some winter mats and tint thrown in tho. Which would be about a $1000 CAD value.

I know for GTA dealerships, they're less likely to blow out old F30's because G20 stock is still low (but there are some available) and the pricing isn't sitting right with some people but your experience/deal is good for the forum and those people asking what they think they can get for F30's today. Like I said in other threads, unless there is a specific reason to get rid of F30's, some dealerships will hold on to gross because the G20 will give some people a bit of price shock and get them into F30 for a cheaper monthly payment.

Or you could just buy a clean low mile used (or program car) 2018 for at least 25% off sticker
