Thought it was only available with xDrive? :
RFT run flat tyre rather than RWD SDrive.

You’re right. X-drive and run-flat tyres (RFT)

Refinanced my 340i today as the numbers for a like for like G20 replacement are exorbitant.
Might have a gander when the LCI comes out though.

No need to wait for LCI, really the 340i is only just out. Wait it out a little for a Qtr wth 340i Impulse support. It always comes around just depends when BMW have ramped up the producution schedule are a literally looking to shift some units or build slots.

I reckon we will see £32/33k demo models after xmas, with a new car to be had at £40k now it is inevitable.

Plus as said, I reckon their will be lots of support on these next year, Germany is struggling with sales and they will want to keep production lines going.

Had a limited test drive over weekend and it's a nice evolution with the x-drive and newer tech but there wasn't a performance difference compared to mine if anything I think the f30 40i MPPSK pulls more and definitely sounds better (M340i did surprise me as it sounds better than a stock 340i).

Talked numbers with the sales chap but we were quite far away so I went home and washed my baby which I will be keeping for the foreseeable.

All in all excellent evolution and will be a massive step up from an E90 driver but imho only a tech upgrade (x-drive) from a 340i MPPSK.

I think your spot on. Germany now in recession and UK is a big market...They have a saying in Germany that "If the German car industry is doing well then Germany is doing well."

Interesting
I'm in the process of organising a test drive of the saloon, with a view to getting a touring next year, possibly.
I'm in a 440i GC with MPPSK, so wont be expecting much difference from the power but am hoping that the improved handling will be enough to sway me. Perhaps not.

The xdrive did seem to make a difference with the slippery roads but I didn't get to really push it on the route I was guided on.
Will be interesting to hear your thoughts post your test drive

This is going to be my next car. Likely 2021 though when there are is plenty of choice second hand, prices have fallen significantly so avoid the initial depreciation gradient (I buy outright) and there are hopefully upgrade options out.
Until then, I will continue to enjoy my modified 335d.
