Auto Stop Start Switch

So the Auto Stop Start switch won’t turn on in Comfort or Sport, won’t turn off in Eco.

I thought I had a battery issue, bought the Veepeak adaptor and BimmerLink.

Turned off the ASD no issue, then displayed Battery...92%.

So the system’s light stays ON in Comfort/Sport (meaning it’s off), stays OFF in ECO, meaning it’s on. And it does shut the motor off in ECO, so the system works.

What doesn’t work is the ability to turn it off/on with the switch.

I’m thinking maybe it’s the switch itself? I had it out when I put in the red start button, but it was just a wire harness to remove and insert.

Still...I’m thinking the switch. Any other reason the system works but he switch won’t switch on/off?

There's no such thing as coincidence. It's probably the switch.

In Eco mode, the switch light should stay off. Meaning it’s on. Having Eco on and being able to turn stop / start off makes no sense. However, apparently you can. My mistake.

If you had the connections to the switch off when you replaced it, maybe doublecheck them before going further...it may have just slipped off when reinstalling...or something?

Also, not sure your goal with autostart/stop, but bimmercode can turn it off automatically...though there's not much purpose for that usually, as the light still stays on (I was trying to turn it off AND have the light off too...but no such luck. )
