water leaking in

Hi, I am new to being part of the forums, I searched for a while and couldn't find a forum about water leaking into the car. I recently saw a tiny puddle of water in the driver footwell, it was underneath the floor mat, so I don't know how long it's been there and it was just raining a few days ago. I will try and add a picture of it it was near the dead pedal and some around the gas pedal. I couldn't find anywhere else was wet, like nothing to give me an idea of where it was coming from, I had a similar issue last year but that was on the rear passenger footwell and it was the vapor barrier, after that was changed water never got back in over there. Thanks for any help in advanceName: BMW water.jpeg

Might want to check your vapor barrier in the door. The adhesive on mine was coming off and the footwell was soaked every time it rained.

type "vapor barrier" in this group's search engine and you will find volumes of DIY tips for addressing this unfortunate and persistent issue with BMWs.

...and make sure your drains are clear...under the left and right panels in front of windshield. Mine were full of leaves when I got it.

Your doors have drains too...

...and make sure your gaskets are clean and treated with something like gummi pflege--btw, three of four of my door gaskets were pulling off (on the doors, not in the threshold). I've used gasket glue and a good 3M tape--so far so good.

Good luck.
