No, not worth spending money on carbon bits on the underside of the car, especially with the crappy roads here - I'd be so paranoid about driving around with it.
I've got a gloss black one to match the diffuser and will be going for gloss black side extensions.

Here is my non-CF Varis knock-off from Ikon Motorsports. This is actually the 3rd one I've had over the past ~2 years. The first one was taken out after only 2 weeks by a roof rack that flew off an oncoming car, the second one was taken out a few weeks ago when I was forced to straddle a dead deer on the highway, and now this is number 3.
I wanted to post my experience here for others who are reading this thread like I have, and are considering the Ikon front lip. First, this is my personal favorite appearance wise…considering I was not looking to spend a lot (which is good considering I've bought 3 of them now.). The first Ikon lip I bought my body/paint shop attempted to paint black, and it did not take the paint well and started to flake off. Since the first one only lasted ~2 weeks, the second one I did not paint and still looked good. Both lips 1 & 2 came in good shape ($129, and $139), and were installed by my body shop. The 3rd one was another story, first the price is now at $200 and the quality that was sent to me was beyond unacceptable. It was twisted like a pretzel, and completely deformed at multiple places. Rather than give a bad review, I reached out to Ikon to and see if they would "make it right". While they were not rude, they said this happens a lot and some guys will take a heat gun to try to mold it back in shape. They agree to return it or exchange it, but nothing more and were not overly concerned by my experience. I planned to return it, and buy something else…however I still really like the look of this one so then considered exchanging it. Ultimately my frustration & impatience took over, and I decided to try to fix it myself. With a heat gun, clamps, 2x4's, and some patience I was able to heat to up and mold it back in shape. In the end it actually turned out much better than I expected. I hope this one survives longer than the others, because I really like the look but would not buy another Ikon product after this experience. I think that $200 is overpriced for this product, and if you are looking for a top quality part and fitment, this one is definitely not for you...even at its very best, this part's fitment is just okay and certainly not show quality. |

As far as I can tell, there wasn't a change in the design of the front bumper between pre- and post-LCI for both M-Sport and non M-Sport models.

I think non-M is quite obvious from the pictures, but not sure if it makes a difference for fixing the lip 🤷🏻*♂️

Jealous of all the lip action!!!
I had a eaby front lip on my F36 but many of the driveways or parking lots were too steep and it scraped a lot. One day driving through a heavy downpour it got ripped off an dragged several miles before I noticed it. Oh well the F36 M-Sport bumper looks good enough without it. |
