I swear 4th gear feels like 3rd gear now. So much usable power on tap. Loving the stg 2 93 v6.

I installed bm3 after v6 was released. I sometimes i cant even believe how crazy a 3rd gear pull is. Its like cars are standing still from a 50 roll. Is dragy the way to go for speed testing?

Yeah the v6 flash is amazing. It's really hard not to go very fast everywhere. Good thing I have a V1 to reduce the risk of a speeding ticket.

One thing I have noticed about the V6 map is that on initial startup up on a cold engine, light throttle conditions can be a little jerky and has hesitations. Once it's warmed up though, it's all good. Anyone else experience this?

I still need to log. And I have not noticed this yet. I take it easy until im warmed up a bit. But i will say, that with jb4, light acceleration was jerky and with bm3 i haven't noticed this.

i dont get on gas at all until its warm. i wont even go into sport until its warm.

Yes v6 is a very meaningful uptick in fun factor and potential tickets.

I also feel like the car is louder. The upshifts, the burbles (obviously), and the exhaust when winding out gears. Or maybe im just not used to it yet because i barely have driven it in the past 4 months. It's intoxicating. The n55 cant really be made offensively loud, but its perfect for a street car even with catless dp; don't get me wrong its LOUD, just not like a mustang with headers. I have gotten so many reactions the past few days. Most good, and one bad LOL. An equinox gave me a thumbs down!

Also, I have recently driven a 2018 M4 and I can say FBO stock turbo EWG v6 is at least on par in straight line speed. I can for sure say the 435's 1st and 2nd gear are way more aggressive. However, yes, if you just remap an M4 with bm3 it would probably destroy a 35i. LOL

Yeah I don't get on it until it's warmed up, but I'm talking about just leaving the parking lot from work under light throttle. In the mornings I've been letting it warm up for a good couple mins and it doesn't happen.

So does v6 ewg have the "gun shot" burbles? I have no benchmark.

No, it's the aggressive burble. Gunshots are ridiculous!!

the only issue with car right now are
1) its really not a luxury car anymore when i want it to be. which is a small issue for me. What i mean is with a DP and burbles in comfort the car sounds terrible i think. Sort of lame sounding actually. Going to Sport+ the car sounds amazing!. Its shocking the distinction between the two settings. They need to fix the comfort lame burbles. But even with that fixed i think car sounds weird with dp in comfort.drones. sounds like exhaust leak. something.

2) The 93 oct stage 2 map "may" be aggressive. They dont seem worried about it and i am an amateur, so who knows, but my radar is surely up. Seeing low fuel pump PSI is probably going to either lead to misfires or decrease life of fueld pump. Or i know nothing...which is definitely possible. i dont want to lower boost if its not needed. So thats why i am constantly asking for others logs.

3) The smell for dp. obviously not tune related but ill add anyways. Right now with windows closed the dp isnt annoying smelling. but come warmer a weather i will likely get annoyed by the smell.

I've noticed on stage 2 with the cold start delete the car is a little rough on idle and jerky until its warmed up. Backing out of the garage after its been idling for a minute or 2 still results in a little light surging.

BTW for those not following FB updates. PWG just got updated to V5 and subsequent V6 to address the lack of burbles some were experiencing. Halim is the man and was working all weekend on getting this stuff sorted out.

1) I agree with you. I actually dont even bother driving in comfort, unless im somewhere that requires me to have no burbles. But this is not related to BM3. Its all related to the DP or catback. Actually, when i had just a catback, i had some drone. Honestly though, this is what i want lol. Ill get in my boring e90 328 when i want quiet. For someone who only drives the 35i it could get annoying. Its always very difficult to be loud and have no drone.

2) I am going to do some logs soon and see how things look.

3) This doesnt bother me much, but the smell is there, but its not bad at all imo. Sometimes i go weeks without noticing it. I would never go back to a catted pipe on this car.

regarding three. I am guessing some gas is burning with less smell. I noticed the smell sometimes more than others. This is something i plan to pay attention to a little more...

Stupid BMW has DSC off setting and comfort under the same thing. So can't code DSC off to have burbles and throttle sensitivity like sport+ FMLLL.

Yes I have experienced the same... its the new catheating cold state delete. My car seems to not respond well to the new cold start delete. Not a huge fan tbh I will be going back to regular cold start (I don't mind loud start up.)

Everything else has dramatically improved. Car feels terrific in all gears and all speeds. Daily driving is fine.

Agressive burbles are pretty nutty up top lol. I can understand why people may not like them but I personally don't care about being "louder." They are very clean and crisp sounding so for me they are a thumbs up.
