There are a ton of threads about jacking up the F30. Look them up. I'm not trying to be a d*ck, it's just that there are a lot of good discussions about this already.

I hear ya bud, these cars aren't the easiest to just jack and put on stands. I've watched the videos then gone under the car and it's not clear. Best advice, jack one side up with a proper jack pad, take the stupid guard off (22 bolt/screw things) and then it's a bit easier to find.

Drive the tires up on 2"x12"s if you need another 1.5" of clearance on a lowered car. Just put the Safe Jack cross bar with its BMW adapter on top of your jack and jack the car up right at the jack point. Pop the two legs onto the Safe Jack and lower the car so it's sitting on the Safe Jack. Repeat on the other side of the car. It's rock solid. Such a simple invention! |

I forget the brand but somebody makes jack stands that have a bmw specific pad that's really wide at the base, once you jack you then slide stand in so the cradle catches the pad which stays in place. Not cheap but very safe and easy.
