That's cool... Where did you get the sealant from? Did you apply it yourself or you went somewhere (a dealer)?

I washed, clayed and sealed myself. Took all afternoon because I'm seriously out of shape. Love the way water beads on it, just like wax. I'm actually hoping that it lasts way longer than wax though because I don't have the time to be washing and waxing every month or so. |

I must admit, when my wife saw the pics of your 335i few weeks ago she said she liked the colour and look. We moved away from the A5 we were looking at also and after a 335i test drive and seeing Mineral Grey 328i in the showroom she was sold. |

Sure, please PM his info... So the wax comes off after a month and then you simply apply it again? Is there like a car wash dealer that can do this on a monthly basis?

I'm saying that ordinary wax jobs only really last for a few weeks, no more than two months probably. The sealant is supposed to last several months, but I'll find out in due time. It's a paste btw.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone!
It's been raining quite a bit here and it rained all evening today, but I did manage to get a phone pic to show the water beading with the new paint sealant one week later. This is after enduring several downpours. |

I think it depends on the line. It's not uncommon to see "Sport" type badges on cars of other makes. I think I would have been less enthusiastic about keeping badges with "Luxury" or "Modern" on them, no matter how good the car was. There was a thread about this topic early on before the F30 launch, with one person saying that a BMW with a "Luxury" badge was inviting a keying.

EDIT: Never mind, looks like Photobucket will allow video hosting. I'm off work tomorrow so I'll try and get a video posted then. Last edited by Raspartan; 06-12-2012 at 09:03 PM.. |
