I received these today and on the charge pipe there is scoring on the inside where the silicone coupler and the other end has a slight ding and scratched externally (not sure if i am being picky on these tho). Pics attached.

With regards to the scoring on the instead of the pipe, is it still worth installing or should i file it down before installation or ask for a new one?

I also ordered and received the intake pipe from FTP and this has major dent in it. Again, is it worth gently bashing back into shape and fitting OR new item? Pic attached.

TIA

I would talk to the seller and see if they will replace them.
The charge pipe should be fine if you file it a bit, but it could be hard to fix that intake pipe without messing up the lip.

thats what i thought, at least the charge pipe is reasonably ok, minor ding as circled and scoring. The scoring wont affect the performance ie not 100% smooth air flow etc

but the intake is so badly out of shape.

i have messaged the ebay seller FTP on both and contacted FEDEX to complain.

Lol I guess so. Not sure if the intake pipe is a manufacture defect as I can can't see any marks or scratches if it banged something hard.

no way that's a defect. both pipes damaged due to fedex. the pipes are thin and susceptible to mishandling damage even if bubble wrapped. like this...

Damn bummer. Chargepipe will be fine, but I wouldn't even bother trying that turbo inlet pipe. I'd be shocked if you got it to fit right with that big of a dent, and that's not a part that will work well if fitment isn't 100%. I'd try to get a replacement if I were you.

if i were you, i will ask the seller to replace the whole item, since its new and damaged when you receive it.

i believe FTP offer warranty for their product, so replacement should be fair for damaged items.

i also use charge pipe and intake pipe from FTP and both are perfect, so i don't think its manufacturer defect.

btw, i went with red charge pipe

Cheers buddy.

I think the charge pipe will be ok to be fair. Cosmetic scratch, and a little scoring from a ding.

The intake pipe is the one badly out of shape.

FTP will now send me brand new kits for both and will pick these damaged ones up. Hopefully they won't be damaged again. Thanks Shaun

when driving, you could hear the intake sound if you turn off your radio/music
but from outside, it is loud, even though i have catless downpipe and full cat-back exhaust, you can still hear the intake sound, and for my personal taste, i love it very much

maybe the ftp intake pipe increase the sound about 20-30% from BMS intake sound

FTP intake with BMS cold air Intake

Does anyone know how to connect the FTP pipe and with a BMS cold air intake? I've tried a few times but I'm having issues getting it to connect together!

How did you get the FTP intake to go with the BMS filter? I've struggled to get these to connect, did you do anything special?
