Yes, you would have to create a separate overlay e.g. overlay_bt.apk and enable overlay_bt.akp. Because you are addressing a different package (app) you have to have a different overlay apk.

Again yes, currently FlowUX is pointing back to KSW BT app for phone connection - you could replace that with any other app, but that would be still outside of FlowUX's "jurisdiction".

KSW software is written by KSW - Ka Sai Wei (or something like that). A Chinese contractor for all these hardware vendors. I don't think they are involved in hardware development, but they do provide some sort of a template for others to make their hardware. That's why this software runs of various different units from vendors like GS, LS, LZH etc.

Does flowux affect tasker? It seems that if I have flowux set as default home, it does not trigger any of my “on device boot” actions. When I make ksw the default home, those actions fire properly again.

I never came across that, but it just sounds unlikely that FlowUX has anything to do with that. I mean the boot complete broadcast is being sent by the system, not a launcher... unless Chinese devs modified it heavily. Ask Nick on Discord about that.

I'm not using the KSW launcher and Boot Complete broadcast works just fine.

It can't be launcher related.

After rebooting a few times problem seems to have gone away. Very strange because I confirmed the problem by switching back and forth on the default launcher.

Registration is not required for download/read, you just need to ensure that you select at least a birth date older than 16 years

The app will work on PX6 but you won't be able to use iDrive controller to navigate. It's like with any other app, because controller only works in the stock launcher.

I'll have to check what's going on. I will try to install it on my unit tomorrow to see if it works. I have a 480p unit as well.

Stumbled upon this forum while looking for help with me android head unit.
Has anyone had any luck with the hands free voice assistant?
I've installed Google assist but the 'hey Google' option is greyed out.

Any info would be great.
