F series Intercooler mount strong enough for FMIC upgrade?
Just a few days ago I installed a new CSF intercooler on my 435i and realized the only thing holding this 25lb FMIC are 2 screws mounted in some plastic. Seems to me that a few hard bumps in some sub freezing weather might break the plastic and release the whole FMIC from its mount.
Has anyone every had any issues with intercooler's dislodging from their mounts? Or issues with the plastic that holds it up? Anything I should have done to secure such a heavy IC better than the stock configuration? Last edited by Hudsonvalley435; 10-16-2018 at 02:42 PM.. |
