any major issues to worry about with '17 430i GC?

I'm really looking into getting the 2017 430i Gran Coupe in the next few days. I've only owned one other car in my life and it was a Japanese car. The only thing I had to do to maintain it was regular oil changes. It ran perfectly for 4 years and now I'm wondering what kind of maintenance I'm looking at if I were to own the 430i.

Base on what you say 4 yrs from new should be the same just oil change but cost more.

Yea that's what I'm hoping for. I already budgeted for the oil change costing a bit more but I'm just worried about major things like engine.

I have 2016 428i GC, currently sitting at 29k miles going to be 3 yrs old next month. Most of it is oil change and little detail like wiper blade, brake fluid but that's because my car is the last years free maintenance was offered.

Only warranty work done was antenna module due to water got in the shark fin.

The 430i got newer engine...which people say BMW fixes issues found on the N20/26. You should be good

For the newer models you shouldn't have to worry about much. Suspension components/brakes/serpentine belt/etc as routine maintenance and the rest is just changing all of the fluids on a mileage basis (engine oil, diff, trans, brake fluid)

I have an 18 GC with 38K miles and have not had a single issue other than regular maintenance and tires.

We have a 2016 428i GC with 27K miles. It's had 3 oil changes, new set of tires, a/c compressor replaced due to faulty sensor, door lock actuator cable updated per my request, and a speaker screw tightened (rattle). Other than that, it's coming up to the end of the 4 year warranty, so I'm planning on having the dealership do a thorough check at the next upcoming oil change plus brake fluid change. Everything except the tires have been done under warranty service. Your proposed 2017 should have at least another year left of the warranty; if it's a CPO it should have an extended warranty coverage as well.

Not to sound like an a-hole, but if you need to budget for an oil change you might be looking at a wrong car

This is definitely a valid point. If you own a BMW you should have the money to cover any sort of maintenance...Just sayin.

You sound like an a-hole tho, you either don't read or don't understand the OP. The OP came from Japanese brands which to my experience from owning a few is very reliable. You really can get away with just oil change for the first 5 yrs. I'm pretty sure the OP can afford it, just want a heads up on what he/she getting into.

This ^, thanks bro haha. Yea it's not that I can't afford it, I definitely can but when I said "budgeted", I meant that I am prepared for the higher costs of BMW oil changes compared to my car. I just wanted to make sure there isn't something crazy that can cause me to pay thousands per year.
