An ideal more or less safe tune for 2016 420i M-sport Coupe
Hi!
Had been searching forums for various tunes for my 2016 420 M-sport with N20 engine (build date 10/2015). Had been previously owning F30 328 M-sport so would like to get it to the same or better level of performance and still remain within good reliability. So if I get it correct I need: 1. JB4 2. Front mount intercooler 3. Catless/Catted/Sports cat downpipes 4. Charge pipes 5. Intake 6. Exhaust Would welcome suggestions on available brands with reasonable pricing and good quality. With catless downpipes is there a good solution to evade check engine light? Catted or Sports Cat is another option and found these 2: Turner Motorsport High-Flow Catted Downpipe Wagner Downpipe With Sport Cat - N20 Are these good ones? And in regards of the Exhaust, besides Remus are there any good sounding options within reasonable price range? Thank you! PS: Selling and getting 428/30/35 is not an option now Last edited by NaiKoN; 07-26-2021 at 07:02 AM.. |

I have a 2016 328i, and installed BM3 Stage 1 tune. Its a whole new car with the tune, and Ive been very happy. I would suggest to look into this one as well.

+1 on starting with BM3 stage 1, makes a huge difference, go from there. Just know that all the stage 2 stuff is going to raise the power higher in the rpm band; driving around town it will feel doggy because of turbo lag. Will be a beast after 4k rpm though, just depends on what you want and where you drive. I love the instant throttle response of the Stg 1 setup. Here's a vid of a quick pull I did with my 15 428i right after I mapped the BM3 STG 1 tune on.
