So check out his picture of a F36. Does the CPM brace replace the existing one? If it doesnt, does it go above or below the existing one?

EDIT: got this from the Studie AG site...looks like the CPM brace goes on top of the existing one

Yes, it has improved handling but might need to drive it a for a bit longer to tell.

First impression after installing it:
  • Reduced vibration in Cabin especially recovering from Stop/Start
  • Cornering has improved slightly
  • Improved handling noticed whilst lane changing
  • Reduced bounce from pot holes

Thank you! Looking forward to you long term impressions. Any reduction in comfort or increase road noise, vibration, etc?

Really curious if you get everything to work right, e.g. 8speed gear indicator or shift lights.
If you have any trouble, let me know.

I'm actually struggling to get the gear indicators or shift lights to work.
We got it down to two scenarios:

Name:  IMG_4208.jpg
Views: 1847
Size:  130.8 KB

1) No gear indicators for 'PRN' however no errors in 'Drive'

Name:  IMG_4187.jpg
Views: 1711
Size:  141.5 KB

2) Gear indicators 'PRN', shifter light visible but error in 'Drive', 'Drivetrain transmission failure'

Any suggestions on what codes, could display gears but without transmission error.

--- Update ----
After some investigation, my coder suspects the transmission is referring to the DCT which is not on the F30 thus it throws transmission error.

That is the problem!
You can get it to work. But the cluster needs some actual programming, coding is not sufficient.

PM sent!

How did you get the NBT to display Japanese? Did you flash it with a Japanese FA?

It has some slight differences:
1. Only has a white backlight no Orange
2. Larger digital Speedometer
3. Red needle
4. Crisper display

Other than that, not much.

Only the Kombi is in Japanese/Chinese/Korean, it only displayed it on the screen because the servicing details pulls the data from the Kombi.

I didn't see the changes on the screen when it was remote coded. However from my previous investigation in Esys. I think my coder changed the following:

KOMBI -> 3008 PIA_Einheiten -> Funktionen -> Sprache -> deutsch / werte 01
HU_NBT -> 3000 HMI -> Funktionen -> LANGUAGE_MASTER -> english_us
HU_NBT -> 3000 HMI -> Funktionen -> LANGUAGE_1 -> chinesisch_trad / werte 0A
HU_NBT -> 3000 HMI -> Funktionen -> LANGUAGE_2 -> chinesisch_simp / werte 0B

Not 100% certain how he did it, I tried to swap the language values around myself but was unsuccessful.

Findings over a week of driving, maybe subjective:
1. Handling has become sharper, especially whilst cornering the car feels more planted & direct.
2. It's reduced the cabin vibration and dampened/negated the shaking felt from start/stop.
3. Car feels nimbler whilst lane changing and stops the chassis from bouncing when recovering from a pot hole.
4. As for road noise, not much difference since my exhaust noise drowns it out.
5. When going over speed bumps the chassis feels more rigid.
6. I feel it has improved tire contact to help better apply power to the ground.

Summary:
Overall it's only a subtle improvement, not very noticeable driving around town but might be different around a track or under spirited driving

Thank you! The price and ease of installation the CPM brace seems like a good mod to do!
