Are RFT's really that bad?

When i bought my car it came on winters but they threw in a pair of slightly used all season pirelli run flats, are they that bad or should i try and sell them and switch to some good ol PSS?

Put it this way, I took off my rft today and put my 20s back on for summer and the car drove much smoother. Sounded more solid and more connected to the road.:-)

I wouldn't say the run flats are "bad," but quality normal tires will definitely make for a smoother ride and better grip during hard turns and acceleration. On my e90 I switched to performance tires when my OEM RFTs needed replacing and could immediately tell a huge difference. I plan on doing the same thing when the tires on my 2014 335i wear out.

To me, the difference isn't worth the money to buy a whole new set of tires when the RFTs are acceptable.

For me, the lighter weight alone is worth the price of admission.
