Help tell me what this is? - 330e

Any of my fellow 330e owners (or anyone else) know what this piece behind the bumper is? It looks kinda like a speaker... or maybe a fan for the electric system?

I just installed a new bumper and it is Just BARELY in the way/touching the side grill.

First picture seems to be sideways, but I think you get it:

Just an educated guess, but it could be the speaker for the audible pedestrian system that emits a sound at low speeds for pedestrian awareness.

Yup. That does look like the vehicle sound generator. Good guess!

That was my thought too, but I wanted to check with the experts! Those silver mounting bolts on the speaker barely touch the grill on the new M2 style bumper. I'm thinking ill have to look for some more shallow bolt heads, or file those ones down just a bit... but its so minor that it can wait for now.
