Brake fluid due

My BMW app in the Service section shows that brake fluid due in March 2022. However I have a service done just this week and the mechanic has topped up the brake fluid, as it is listed on the invoice.
I wanted to ask you guys what does this service schedule means? If it has been preset and does not reflect the actual situation?
Or the brake fluid due means something else?

The service interval for brake fluid is set to 2 years regardless of the actual driving conditions.

I think it might be 3 years, mine is a 2018 model and showed up in the Service reminder that it was due in 2021.

I flushed mine last month and reset the service reminder.

It's important to fully replace brake fluid every two years for safety. Topping up doesn't count. Over time brake fluid picks up moisture which can corrode internal brake components. No need for fancy marketed fluid. Just replace with stock fluid every two years.
