Like i explained in the video, the plugs are interchangeable. Spark plug gap does not improve timing. It is to prevent misfires/blowout.

New plugs regardless of the brand will make the car run more smoothly.

And S55 plugs aren't remotely right for our engine.

Yes. Put it in a plastic bag, pack it in a box, and ship it back.

Recommended to install in a B48A20A 2014 NGK reference 95248? you now have 94201 installed.

My question is whether its safe for me to pre-empt my tune and space the plugs to .022 while running just the MPPSK setup.

Cheers!
Watch the video. You don't need to gap your plugs.

I recently switched from 97506 to 94201. I had no issues with the 97506. I swapped in a set of new Dinan coils as I read the 97506 are taller and can damage the coils.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but has anyone tried the plugs from Bosch?

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...ch-12120040551

https://www.boschautoparts.com/p/dou...rk-plugs-8169-

I think these are OE on certain BMWs, but not the F30 B58s.

They're $11 to the $18 NGK ones, which would normally be my preference.

They are lower quality and not recommended. Stick with OEM iridium plugs.

Ah, there's my mistake.

I misread the NGKs as being 'Laser Platinum' as that's what I always used on my VWs of the past.

Iridium is definitely an upgrade over platinum.

My car feels and idles smoother with the NGK 94201. I'm probably going to run NGK from this point on. The Champions I pulled out had only 500 miles gaped to .022" and I dropped in the NGK gaped to .022"

I'm really surprised to see like for the stock plugs. I bought a new set of champions at 15k miles, and at 20k decided to try the ngks. The engine was noticeably more responsive and energetic after switching. Smoother and more fire in there. I'd recommend anyone who hasn't tried give them a go. Ngk 94201 all day 🔥

Hello,
I bought my F31 340i used at 50k km
they supposedly did spark plugs before selling the car.
I can't be sure they actually did it...

Because I may be extreme in car maintenance, I decided to swap plugs and coil at 70k

Running stage 1 93/98 RON
here is how they looked (BMW NGKs)
I think they changed actually changed it as they claimed
I swapped to NGK branded 93201, stock gap (0.28-0.30)

what do you think about the old ones ?
thx !

Those plugs look completely fine, probably was a waste replacing them that early.

Anyone see or try these yet. They've been out for s55 for a bit, now it looks like for b58 there's another plug listed. High power flex fuel. Pretty sure this is new.

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=12_2054

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...mw-12120047375

Fits 340/440. Anyone know anything about these

$50 each. Yikes.

Edit: after doing some searching it's not anything special. most sites list it as a direct replacement for the standard plugs, and if it's a bosch plug then it's a double platinum that isn't as robust as the OEM iridium options from NGK and Champion.

First link has them at $50 when searching the part number. The rest are around $18-19. Still pretty expensive. I do have to wonder what "high power/output" means for a plug.
