It's like it's preemptively thinking you might spin, so it kicks in. I had it in 2nd gear as well.

Did you get an yellow traction control flickering lights when it happens? I didn't, which is leading me to believe it didn't actual lose grip even though it kicks into this mode.
Nope never. Dry road, full traction. Kinda exactly like you described. It's preemptively engaging thinking it's going to lose traction in situation where you wont lose traction. Sometimes is scary though when you need to merge quick from an on ramp onto the highway. Especially down here in NYC/CT area where your gaps to merge onto the highway are tight sometimes.

Also will add, when this anti lag/tc control thing happens, after it surges, rpm continue to climb for a second even after lifting off the gas completely. I think there was a user who posted about the car accelerating even after lifting off the gas with BM3. I do feel like it happens more in d/comfort mode too.

That is actually just part of the BMW design. Revs climb slightly after getting off the gas (it's pretty short though, sub-1 second).

So I’m assuming most are still up in the air about the v2.3 maps? I’m still a bit hesitant to flash it. Still staying at v2.1 stage 1 93....I wish I had access to v2.1 stage 2 93 though as I have a high flow DP now. Maybe they will tweak v2.3 a bit?

Maybe it's not perfect but tc works for me. Safer than when it was almost never coming on

I did reflash stage 2+ a couple times and then reset adaptations which left a persistent drivetrain error. So did a final reflash of stg 2+ and did a reflash of xHP and it seems to behave better now.

Isn't 2.4 out or am I losing my mind?

Couple of them are at 2.4 (Ethanol maps, some 1.0 maps) but not all.

They work for me, it's just a couple of those quirks that would be nice to go away. I'd have no issues recommending those maps. It takes care of the car spinning which was the main reason for them.

Does anyone have any info if they are in the process of releasing another update soon for the stage 1 91 octane? Like a polished 2.4 map?…

I've logged a bunch of miles on the v2.3 version. For the most part, power delivery is spot on.

I did find that the invasive torque management when cornering on winter tires must have been slight wheel slip. Since the temps are warmer, and I have summer tires back on, it's only showed up when raining.

Wouldn't mind it to be a bit more polished on the torque management, but tolerable during those situations.
