Will you buy a new/used G Series?

I'm not really liking the new G-series design. Not all got horrendous new grill but to me the F-series with M-sport just looks sportier. The only G-series I'd consider buying used in a few years would be the M340i. Maybe the new look will grow on me. I'm not currently in the market for a car and probably wont be for several years. Just wondering what the consensus on the forum is. Who knows maybe I'd switch to EV.

I keep looking at the M340i but I think I'm going to break down and gets get the Z4 M40i. The grill isn't too outrageous and I need another drop top.
My X2 can do family duty.

No plans to, the GXX doesn't make a compelling case for me to get rid of my F30. The i4 interests me, but that's about it as far as BMWs current lineup is concerned. I've bled blue and white since the mid-90s but the direction BMW is going in currently is very confusing and not exciting to me at all.

I really like the G20, but it feels too mature for me. The F30 fits my age profile better

I would definitely buy a pre-LCI G20 M340i when the time comes. Won’t buy an LCI G20, because they’re ruining the dashboard.

Agree with everything said. I am just not feeling the new trend BMW is going with.

The M340i is the exception.

I would love to get a 2018 M3 but the prices are insane.

Maybe next year....

Sadly, I have not seen a G-series styling that I like yet. Passed a G42 today and I thought it was a japanese car from the rear until I saw the BMW roundel. It is a pity since what is under the hood for the G is an upgrade but I can't muster the will to want to downgrade on looks.

No wagon in US.. Will have to look at Mercedes next time bc Audis feel fwd biased in driving dynamics, unlike BMW.

As a current owner of F36, the only G20 I would consider would be M340. Then again, my F36 is a terrific vehicle. Carefully observing i4 M50 news. Will consider it only after the second year.

This is what happened to Acura/Honda with me after 2010. They have since gotten better but I wanted rwd. Infiniti may get a 2nd look in the future.

I'd consider a 2020 M340i (still has the good sounding B58 that isn't watered down) and maybe a later year model but 2020 was the sweet spot. I'll never get a G 4 series they're hideous looking. Such a shame with the G 4 series I was excited that a new version was coming out.

If prices weren't crazy I'd love to upgrade to an LCI F82.

The G42 isn't terrible and the engine is wonderful but it's tough because the head lights and tail lights aren't very appealing especially the tail lights. If I can ever get past the tail lights I'd consider upgrading to one of these as they seem like a really fun car. Maybe the next M2 will look better in that regard.

BMW really is fcking up the look of their cars.

Wish I did my research in 2019 when I bought my 440i Gran Coupe off the showroom floor. It's fully loaded but after 25,000 miles when I drive my gf's 2019 330i everything is so updated and refreshing. It might not be as fast as my 440 but it definitely checks all the other boxes. Had I done my research in 2019, I forsure would have went with the new M340i at the time.

Im a big sucker for the usability of my Gran Coupes hatch back and have filled it numerous times to the gills. I also have the i4 M50 on order which allowed me to extend my 440i's lease by 6 months for anyone else who doesn't want their lease to end yet. $1500 fully refundable deposit on the i4 will get you a nice 6 month lease extension if you ask and provide the i4 order number.

I agree - I hate the Mercedes/Tesla wanna be screen. The current G20 dashboard looks much more premium than the tablet style screens that look out of place in the i4.

Looks great. I really thought I wanted an m340i next, and while I'm not a fan of the grill on the newer designs, the g80 is the exception and I'm leaning towards moving from the b58 to s58. X3m is on the shortlist as well.

They did a fantastic job on the G10 LCI. Thing is beautiful.

I am also looking to go 340i>M340i. I love my F30, but they really did step up the interior quality on the G series. I drive a lot so I’m itching bad to get into that cabin, but same time appreciate what I have with the F30. Still look back at it.
