Ah man, it is threads like this which I love seeing what others have done to their cars, get super jealous then my credit card takes an absolute beating shortly after!

Had my 440i GC for only 2 months an I already added a CF spoiler and diffuser of the genuine variety. Don't think i'll be able afford the genuine front splitter nor 20" wheels. (@winther1 props for having my ideal Whtie 440iGC, maybe we'll cross paths sometime in London!)

Had the MPPSK fitted from factory according to the sticker on the underside of the bonnet, but from what I have been reading on this and other threads- the MPPSK isn't all that Unicorn anymore.
Either way I am still addicted to sound it makes (including the childish pops and bangs) which is an absolute fuel and money drainer.

Good thread!

Here's mine, It's well specced with MPPSK, ACS sports suspension, MP LSD, Bootmod3. I've got the M4 and an Exige on the way, so this is the perfect Qcar for a nice contrast and more relaxed and refined for longer trips.

Nice 👍 and that looks a whole bunch like the Bolney Stage....

Pretty sure I saw (and heard) you the other day. Trying to rack my brains as to where now. Might possibly have been the mini roundabouts at Cowfold. Sounded like you were in Sport mode - now I know what mine sounds like externally - LOUD 😂

It is surprising how loud it actually is as you don't hear it anywhere near as loud in the cabin.

Probably wouldn’t be me unless it was a 1 time occurrence on the 31st August where I was doing a lunch stop when heading down to the coast (staycation and what not) from West London.

Speaking of all things MPPSK. I was driving through a tunnel today and I just so happen to be in sports mode (fiancé now calls it the a-hole mode as of today).
I was able to make it crackle in over run in 3rd and downshift into 3rd, but wasn’t able to do it for 4th gear (and I assume same applies to 5th,6th etc). Is this what everyone else is experiencing ?

I also don't get the bangs above 3rd gear even at 5k rpm

BTW, it sometimes takes ages for the flaps to open when switching to sport/+ - any idea why and is there a mod which will open them immediately, ie bootmod3?

Yeah, above 3rd the bangs stop I think on mine too. I think BM3 can be used to have them in higher gears.?

I notice the flaps only open after the car has fully finished it's cold start process, even when warm. You can drive with the flaps open but if you stop the engine for a few mins and start it up again, it will still go through it's cold start process and the flaps wont open even if you start driving. I think BM3 can be used to disable that very annoying behaviour.

Once that's finished, my valves open pretty much as soon as the buttons pressed.

Bm3 you can adjust burbles, remove cold start add gts roar on start up etc. Bm3 or mhd plus the xhp gearbox map really do make the car so much more fun.

Do you have it on yours? Might have to give it a try. Mines currently around 380hp - how much extra can I expect with Bm3 - safely without mechanical upgrades?

Yep I’m running stage 2 so have a downpipe.

If you have mppsk and go to the stage 1 93 map there is a fair bit of difference. I don’t have mppsk but that map is on bm3 so have tried it. I think stage 1 you should see a good 420-430hp some seem to have dyno d up to around 440 I believe. Stage 1 needs no hardware changes

My understanding is the latest mhd map may be slightly stronger again seem to run slightly more boost and timing.

If you think your car is loud just by sitting inside you really need to hear it being driven hard whilst outside. At a meet a while back you could hear the mppsk cars coming from a long way off.

I now laugh and hang my head in shame at the same time knowing how loud mine is with the sports cat on.

Yes, I was being followed by a mate a few weeks back... His comment was it's 'supercar loud'

But is it? I've never heard one from outside, only being inside. It is quite hilarious sometimes, especially on the overrun at 4.5k rpm.

I had the MPPSK fitted to mine three months ago.

Is it normal to have strong resonance in Sport mode, which sometimes makes the whole cabin vibrate at just before 2000 RPM?

The exhaust isn't fouling anything underneath and it only happens under certain conditions and not in Comfort mode.

I have this with mine and it really annoys. It was fitted by the previous owner so unsure if it's always been like this. I asked the dealer to check it at the last service and they said it's normal. The only way round it for me is to use the paddles and keep revs up, as it's only around 2000rpm it happens.
As this is more our family car I'm not really fussed about having the MPPSK to be honest, and tempted to try and pick up a standard one. If anyone fancies a swap I might be tempted!

My old one. Owned for 30 months from new and always enjoyed. Was hoping to see it in this thread from a new owner, but as it hasn't appeared here are some of my pics...

I'd be interested to know how common this resonance issue is - it's starting to put doubts in my mind about whether MPPSK is the right option.

Cheers
