I’m sure you NOW want to move on, especially as you try to twist your version of what you posted. But don’t try to change the meaning of your posts, that the words and structure doesn’t agree with.
I'm sorry if you're upset that you weren't aware the Pi could be powered safely via a 12v adapter. I'm not going to continue this argument, as it's pointless and contributing nothing to this thread. If you want to argue and act like a fool, take it to PM.

I"m not sure as I've been a Verizon customer ever since I've e owned a cell phone and hotspot is included, but it looks like you'll need to modify your plan.

Really? I have the unlimited plan as well and have a hotspot available. Do you have the slower-speed unlimited plan?

Your account has to be provisioned for mobile hotspot to work. Call ATT, they can get it done for ya!

You have the REAL unlimited plan from 7 years ago or so.

They do not have a Hotspot Provision as you have actual unlimited data.

Today’s “unlimited” plans only have roughly 22 Gb of data....not truly unlimited, but they do allow for a Hotspot

You got it. My plan was grandfathered in from years ago. It truely is unlimited data and not capped off. It does not slow down either. I guess i have to stick to the laptop way

Yeah, such a pain in the ass. Get stellar speeds up to 22GB and then after that, they can throttle you when it's "congested/busy" (aka all the time).

Hi guys I’m having some issues connecting my iPhones hotspot to the OBD agent. I know the device works as I have used it multiple times by connecting my iPhone via usb to the OBD agent device.

I’ve followed the BM3 troubleshooting guide with no success. I assume disconnecting the neg terminal on the battery achieves the same thing as the ground as per the troubleshooting guide. Any other suggestions?

Has anyone had luck with OBD extension cables? I tried this one and it intermittently worked and that's not good enough.

I have tried 3 different OBD extensions and 2 different ENet cables. I cannot get the dashboard to output data consistently. It will work for 4-6 seconds then freeze for 4-6 seconds. Works flawlessly when it's just the ENet cable. Any ideas?

What do you need an extension for? The ENET cable I have is ridiculously long.

I'd like a more flush fit so I don't kick it with my foot.

You can also unclip the connector and tuck it away. I have mine like that but accessible through the small hole, so I can pull it out if need be.

Giving this a bump. Would be nice to get the device working as it should

Ensure your hotspot name is all lowercase, same with the password. I've seen that one before. Other than that and ensuring WiFi is turned off and you've followed BM3's troubleshooting guide, that's all I know for the iPhones.

If you are doing this while at home in your garage make sure you are disconnected from your home wifi. You have to go into settings, wifi, lick on your home network and click "forget this network". Once you've connected your phone hotspot to the wifi agent you can reconnect to your home wifi network.

I take it back, I'm getting freezing on just the ENet cable too. Never had this prior to the update. I submitted a ticket.
