I use the Android side exclusively now. You can easily use split screen and have GMaps on one half and music on the other half. I got a SIM card for the car so that I don't have to worry about turning tethering on every time I use the car.

I use Tasker to enable my hotspot on my phone as soon as my Bluetooth is connected to my car. Works like a charm

I ordered an navifly Android 10 screen yesterday to replace my 7.1 unit

Any idea if the wiring loom is the same so I only have to replace the screen?

minimal changes in speaker wiring (speaker is added instead of old left channel switching), old cable can be used without any problems.

The up and down steering wheel buttons don't work properly in Spotify App.
They work the first time but after 4 or 5 seconds they stop working.

It happens to someone else?

Okay after a few days of having it installed (E87), Id like to fully recommend MEKEDE OFFICIAL STORE on AliExpress.

At first I had issues with setting it up (my fault) but after a few engagements with them, they promptly answered my messages with photos and a decent level of English.

Delivery was expected 20-30 days and even with the coronavirus I expected longer. Came in 10 days & with minimal import tax and duty.

They seem to be one of the original manufacturers of the device and I can’t lie, build quality seems pretty decent. I haven’t asked for any software updates/MCU because it came with the latest already at the time (1 week ago).

Only issue I have really is that the dongle they sold me for car play doesn’t seem to be a genuine one so I can’t upgrade it & also not enough power to charge my phone. Going to have to buy a wireless CarPlay from the original manufacturer.

All in all. MEKEDE OFFICIAL STORE on AliExpress will be my go to. Splendid seller.

Dispute it on AliExpress and give your best evidence. Always found the disputes to be quite favourable. What seems to be the issue with your device?

Read the www.bmwclub.ru, no one could get the money back. I had problems that managed to solve on my own, but Makede never once answered.

Well, I cannot say good things about Navifly. I ordered my unit in January, their page on Aliexpress said 7 days and it took 6 weeks . When I received it and installed it, I saw it was running firmware 3.7.x, as I read this forum I knew that firmware 3.8.0 was already out. I asked them if they could send me the latest firmware, I thought maybe I would get an even newer version that I could share with the forum. Their answer was:

"Hello friend, this player has no firmware right now"

Yesterday I saw that the exact same unit that I bought in January (I know because I bookmarked the product) is now advertised with Android 10, so I asked them for the latest Android 10 firmware. Their answer this morning:

"sorry.Your machine cannot be upgraded to Android 10 temporarily"
