I'm wondering what I'd need to do to have functionality with the Spotify and connected drive apps. Currently neither work over usb, but I can play audio via BT, but with no app integration.

It should be in Phone App Store. You must run App on Phone or you have nothing.

I am adding a combox retrofit and aware the HU is Champ2 and will not likely be able to run BMW Apps but my main objective is bluetooth streaming audio.

Enhanced Bluetooth with BTAS is coding only. No FSC Code is needed.

9C FSC Code / BMW Apps is not possible for CHAMP2 Head Unit.

Actually I just checked and I actually have 606 NAVIGATION SYSTEM BUSINESS, which is CIC-MID I believe, not CHAMP2.

Does this make a difference for coding of BMW apps?
